The Film Artistes & Technicians Trust Fund  
   
The Film Artistes & Technicians Trust Fund was established under Parliament Act No.3 of 1986. The main aspiration of the above Fund is  
   
granting of a pension to artistes and technicians who have reached the age of 60 years.
   
granting of medical allowance upto a maximum of Rs.10,000/- for the pensioneers.
   
Eligibility for pension would be -
   
Should have reached the age of 60 yrs.
   
Being a film artiste or technicians who have worked in the same category in a minimum of 3
  films within a period of 10 years.
   
Monthly income should be below Rs.3000/-.
   
The monthly income should be below Rs.2000/- for any artiste or technician who owns a
  house.
   
On completion of a period of 7 years on receipt of EPF (less than Rs.5000/-)
   
Shall not be a pensioneer of a Govt. or any other affiliated institution.
   
The following categories of film artistes and technicians would be eligible for the pension scheme

Film Actors, Directors, Asst; Directors, Script Writers, Music Directors, Lyric Writers, Cameramen, Editors, Art Directors, Make-up artistes, Asst; Make-up artistes, Dance Directors, Still photographers, Lighting technicians, Asst; Lighting technicians, Sound editors, Electricians, Production Managers, Laboratory technicians, Asst; Laboratory technicians, Camera Dolly operators.
